Delete your account

Applies to Aptus for Android — com.ebonykris.aptus

Almost everything Aptus knows about you is on your phone and nowhere else, so most of “deleting your data” is something you can do yourself, immediately, without asking us. This page covers both halves: what you delete, and what we delete.

What is stored where

Deleting the data on your phone

You can do all of this in the app, right now:

None of these require our involvement, and none of them can be undone by us: we hold no copy of the database on your phone to restore from.

Deleting your account on our server

To have your allowance and activity counts deleted, email support@ebonykr.is from the Google account you signed in with, with the subject Delete my Aptus account.

Writing from that address is how we match your request to your record.

We will delete your allowance and your activity counts, and confirm by reply, normally within 7 days and at most within 30. Deleting them does not affect anything on your phone. Once they are gone, the only thing on our side still connected to your account is our service logs, which record the last six characters of your account’s identifier against each request.

If you sign in again after deletion, a fresh allowance is created and you are treated as a new account.

What we cannot delete for you

The copies of plan requests are stored with nothing saying whose they were. That is deliberate — which of our users wrote a goal is no use to us, and leaving it out is what makes those copies anonymous rather than merely disconnected from your name.

The two smaller records listed above work the same way and for the same reason: the counts by session length, days a week and training mix, and the note of each failed plan build and what was being asked for when it did. Both are numbers, neither contains anything you wrote, and neither carries any mark of who made the request.

The trade is exact: because nothing links a copy to your account, deleting the account cannot reach it, and we cannot look yours up. A copy can still hold what you wrote, along with your height and weight. If a goal, injury note or workout note you wrote contains something you would rather we did not hold, write to us with roughly what it said and when, and we will do our best to find and remove it.

Our service logs record that each request happened, with the last six characters of the account’s identifier, and nothing of what was asked. They are not part of an account deletion.

Requests sent to AI providers

Writing a plan sends a description of your training situation to an AI model provider, which may hold it briefly for abuse monitoring under its own terms. That is separate from the copy we keep, and it is outside our control. If you would like a provider’s copy of a past request removed, write to the same address and we will pass the request on.
